In the wake of record-breaking sales of the video game Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2, director Keith Arem will make his feature film debut on the action-thriller FROST ROAD. Cary Brokaw’s Avenue Pictures (CLOSER, ANGELS IN AMERICA) will produce with Steven L’Heureux’s Solipsist Films, in association with Arem’s PCB Productions.

The Robert Pattinson documentary Robsessed, which follows the British star and his worldwide phenomenon, is now available on the iTunes Store in the US (www.iTunes.com), Canada (www.iTunes.ca) and UK (www.iTunes.co.uk) from distributor Revolver Entertainment.

To celebrate release of the motion picture Sherlock Holmes, starring Robert Downey Jr. and Jude Law, Warner Bros. Pictures has unveiled the unique two-player on-line experience “221B.”

BBC Films scooped an incredible 26 nods at this morning’s nominations for the 2009 British Independent Film Awards. Films include: Andrea Arnold’s FISH TANK with eight nominations, Lone Sherfig’s AN EDUCATION and Armando Iannucci’s IN THE LOOP receive six each, and Jane Campion’s BRIGHT STAR receives four.
